Experimental All Employee Hours and Earnings Series by State from the Current Employment Statistics (CES) Program will now be available on a monthly basis. Though still in the experimental stage, the new hours and earnings series are more comprehensive in coverage, thereby providing improved information for analyzing economic trends and improved input to productivity and personal income series. In late 2008, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) plans to release experimental statewide estimates of total private gross monthly earnings. |

LMCI Economic Profiles
 Economic Profiles are designed to give a brief fact filled one-page snapshot of an area economy. The Economic Profiles cover Texas as a whole and by industry, the Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSA), and the Workforce Development Areas (WDA).

With the release of the 1st quarter 2007 Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages, we will be using the new 2007 North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) industry definitions. Thirteen sectors are the same as the current code structure and seven sectors will be different. The most significant revisions are in the Information Sector, particularly within the Telecommunications area. No revisions will be made to data classifications prior to 2007, so a series break will occur.
